Unlike traditional systems that accumulate layers before loading, this single-pick concept places each punnet directly into its designated spot—eliminating stoppages caused by dropped or misplaced items. Powered by OMRON’s Hornet robots, the system achieves a top speed of 300 picks per minute, ensuring high throughput while accommodating diverse product sizes and layouts. The robots’ unique fourth arm enhances flexibility, allowing precise placement even in tight spaces like punnet crates.
The line integrates OMRON’s Sysmac Automation Platform, featuring NJ controllers and tailored HMI interfaces that simplify operations and minimize downtime during changeovers. With PackManager software, operators can easily program packing layouts for new punnet sizes, simulate processes offline, and implement changes with minimal disruption. This seamless adaptability ensures continuous operation and future-proofing for evolving production needs.
