Brd. Klee, a Danish distributor of electric motors and gears, faced a significant challenge in their internal logistics. Every day, employees manually transported goods across an 80-meter stretch between warehouse and shipment zones—repeating this journey 30 to 40 times. This added up to more than 6 kilometers of manual handling daily, resulting in lost productivity, repetitive strain, and a less efficient use of skilled staff.

To address these inefficiencies, Brd. Klee partnered with Ølgod Elektro and OMRON to introduce a fully integrated Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) solution. With the deployment of the LD-250 AMR, up to 10 loaded carts are now transported autonomously at a time, streamlining the company’s order fulfillment process. The system is managed by OMRON’s Sysmac software and NX102 controller, ensuring smooth coordination and flexible integration with existing workflows. This transformation has not only automated order fulfillment but has also freed up valuable employee time for higher-value tasks.

Since deploying the AMR, Brd. Klee has eliminated over 6 kilometers of daily manual transport, significantly improved workplace safety, and boosted overall productivity. The seamless automation has reduced repetitive labor, minimized the risk of workplace injuries, and enhanced operational flexibility—setting Brd.
