Together As One — Americas Robotics Conference
One team, one purpose: Better outcomes for our customers
For the first‑ever Americas Robotics Conference, we brought team members from across North and South America to our headquarters in Pleasanton, CA. Sales, marketing, service, support, and engineering all came together with one shared focus: serving customers better.
What we worked on—and why it matters
Many colleagues had only met through screens. Being in the same room turned names into real teammates and gave us a clearer view of how our work connects across functions. With that foundation, we used the week to focus on the parts of our work that shape the customer experience—how projects start, how decisions are shared, and how support responds when things are under pressure.
- Learning from one another: We started with real customer stories: where things went smoothly, where they were bumpy, and what we’d do differently next time. Teams compared how they approached scoping, communication, and rollout. From those conversations, we pulled out a few simple patterns and “watch‑outs” for future projects.
- Making decisions easier for customers: Buying and deploying automation involves a lot of choices. We shared different ways we talk about options, timelines, and outcomes, and looked for simpler, more consistent language. The goal: fewer buzzwords, clearer examples, and more transparent trade‑offs so customers can move forward with confidence.
- Strengthening service and support: When something isn’t working as expected, customers need answers, not confusion. Service, support, and engineering teams compared what they’re seeing on site and where customers need more clarity. We focused on setting better expectations and making it easier to reach the right person, faster.
- Working better together: Behind every project is a long chain of handoffs—from first conversation to design, installation, training, and ongoing support. Cross‑team sessions helped us see that full picture together. Outside the agenda, shared meals, team activities, and a volunteer day helped build the trust that makes day‑to‑day collaboration smoother.
“It’s about experience—about having fun, building that vibe together as an organization. For folks to feel that common sense of purpose.” — Justin King, VP, Product Management & Marketing
The energy behind the work
The week ended with a volunteer day at Alviso Adobe Community Park, planting trees and helping restore the grounds. Spending time side by side, away from screens, was a good reset—and a reminder that our projects work best the same way: a shared goal, real effort, and seeing it through.
And to our customers reading this: thank you for your trust and for everything we learn from working with you. This week was about building the relationships and alignment that help us turn that learning into better support on future projects.
We’re grateful to everyone who made the first Americas Robotics Conference worth the trip and the energy. See you next year!
