Course overview
This on-demand, virtual training gets you productive with OMRON’s ACE Version 3 software—the core platform for programming and deploying OMRON industrial robots, including articulated, parallel, and SCARA models. ACE (Automation Control Environment) streamlines configuration, programming, and integration of robots, digital I/O, vision, and peripherals so you can build efficient cells with fewer headaches.
Work at your own pace while gaining hands-on practice with the ACE 3 programming interface. You’ll connect to a robot/controller, create, save, and test programs, and operate the Manual Control Pendant. Along the way, you’ll wire and verify digital inputs/outputs, understand hardware and software architecture, and apply best practices that scale from basic tasks to more complex applications.
Course objectives
By the end of this training, you’ll be able to:
- Understand the connections and cabling between the robot and controller
- Connect to a robot using ACE Version 3.x software
- Create, store, and test programs to control robot motion and behavior
- Integrate and operate digital I/O and the Manual Control Pendant subsystems
- Troubleshoot common issues with robot operation and connectivity
- Control grippers and other end-of-arm tooling
