OMRON Robotics at INTERPACK 2026
See Flexible Cart Transport Automation in Action
Cart transport is still handled manually in many packaging and processing facilities. When operators spend time moving carts between lines, workstations, and end-of-line processes, it can slow production, create bottlenecks, and reduce time available for higher-value work.
At Interpack 2026, OMRON will showcase the OL-450S, its first turnkey AMR solution for automated cart transport. The OL-450S moves carts between lines, workstations, staging areas, and end-of-line processes, helping reduce manual handling and keep materials flowing through the facility without replacing carts or making major layout changes.
Its low-profile design allows the robot to move under carts and operate in spaces where narrow aisles, height restrictions, and floor-level obstacles can challenge other mobile automation approaches. The demo will also feature integration with a VHV5 QR Code Reader, showing how automated transport can be combined with identification technology to support better tracking, coordination, and traceability throughout production.
What you’ll discover at the booth
- How to automate cart transport without redesigning your facility
- Ways to reduce manual movement and free operators for higher-value work
- Why low-profile AMRs are effective in narrow aisles and low-clearance areas
- How configurable mast options support reliable navigation in real environments
- How QR code reading can improve tracking, coordination, and traceability
